TRISWIM was orginally developed out of a need for quality skin and hair care products for swimmers. Developed and distributed by our privately owned parent company, SBR Sports, Inc., the ingredients in TRISWIM work to neutralize Chlorine and Chlorine odor on your skin and in your hair. TRISWIM has up to 5 sequestering agents which assist in containing the chlorine, grabbing a hold of it, and washing the chemical down the drain. Not only does TRISWIM detoxify, but with our innovative formula, it also hydrates and nourishes with ingredients such as Organic Aloe Vera, Vitamin A and E, and ProVitamin B5. TRISWIM will leave your skin moisturized and smooth, and your hair, clean, shiny, healthy and soft. With our light citrus scent, TRISWIM is appealing to both men and women. You’ll feel relaxed, restored and refreshed after using TRISWIM.

But that was just the beginning. Now, we're constantly seeking greater ways to provide products, programs and information that not only help you perform better and leave you feeling relaxed, refreshed and restored, but that also promote total body health.

VIDEO SWIM DRILLS & MONTHLY WORKOUTS :: JULY WORKOUTS POSTED

Is it hot and humid in your area this summer? Then, swimming seems like a good way to stay in shape and stay cool at the same time. Whether you're an absolute beginner or a elite athlete, swimming is an excellent way to tone up, improve your cardiovascular health, lower your blood pressure and leave you feeling ready for competition!

But over exposure to sun and heat can lead to dehydration even while swimming. The best time to consume fluids is before you are thirsty - by the time you are thirsty, your body is already dehydrated. To compensate, you should increase your fluid intake and keep a water bottle by your lane during workouts, and sip water or a sports drink continuously during a meet. If your workout will last over 60 minutes, most experts recommend a sports drink over plain water.

ATHLETE NEWS : :

John Callos is an Ultra Endurance Athlete and Ironman Triathlete. It's not unusual for John to swim 6.2 miles, bike 260 miles and run 52 miles over the course of a three day event! His training schedule is hard to believe with him sometimes swimming 5 miles in an endless pool!

But John admits he wasn't always this fit. There were times that the demands of work and family kept him from training - at all. And his weight was tipping the scales at 210.

John recently contacted us to say how much he loved our new product FOGGLE! He had tried literally every anti-fog product on the market and had tested them rigorously in his Endless Pool but said that nothing to date has ever worked as well as FOGGLE.

Dr. Victor Runco/Ultra Marathon Runner.

In the last 3 years, Dr. Victor Runco has completed 5 full marathons and 9 half marathons. He is owner of the San Diego Running Institute.

Dr. Runco served in the U.S. Navy and is a Gulf War veteran. Being in charge of Physical Readiness Programs prompted his return to college to earn a degree in Biomechanics/Athletic Training. While working as an Athletic Trainer for Cal State, he continued his education graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Doctorate in Chiropractic. Dr. Runco maintains a private practice adjacent to the San Diego Running Institute.

Dr. Runco recently contacted us to say how glad he was to have found TRISLIDE. He told us that, having worked with many runners through the Institute and being a runner himself, he was acutely aware and sensitive to blister and chaffing problems. "All of the available products I used in prevention of blisters in the past were either messy or impractical. When I discovered TRISLIDE, those issues were put to rest. It sprays on, is odorless and, best of all, it is silicon based so there is virtually NO FRICTION wherever you spray it. What that translates to is NO BLISTERS or CHAFFING!"

SWIM KIDS : :

It's summer time again, and swimming pools are opening their doors to the public. Getting our kids physically active is a top priority for their short and long-term health, and swimming is a wonderful, fun way to do it. Public pools are typically treated with chlorine-based disinfectants to help keep kids safe from the spread of infectious diseases while swimming. A careful study published in the June 2003 issue of Occupational and Environmental Medicine demonstrated a downside of these chlorines. The layer of chlorine gases hovering just above the water has the potential to damage the lungs and cause asthma, if the levels are high enough. The chlorine that stings the eyes can also 'sting' the sensitive tissue of the lungs. At some pools the chlorine smell is oppressive. The risks are highest in indoor pools, and the lower the ceiling, the higher the risk. What’s the solution? What can you do about it?

The best advice from leading dermatologists suggests using a chlorine-out shampoo and body wash immediately after swimming. This helps to prevent the lasting effects of overexposure such as dryness, itching, hay fever and other allergies.

CHLORINE AND SUN FACTS : : UPDATED

Planning a summer full of fun in the sun? Don't neglect your hair and skin. Spending time splashing and swimming might be a great way to tone your body but it tends to take a heavy toll on hair and skin. Learn how to prevent these common conditions with proper planning, and a little prevention.

Our hair and skin are charged negative. Oxidizers (chlorine) and minerals (copper) have a positive electronic charge. When our hair and skin come into contact with chlorine and copper from a pool or spa, these elements attach onto our hair and skin like a magnet. TRISWIM shampoo and body wash are specially formulated to remove chlorine and chlorine odor and combat these elements, while moisturizing and enriching.

Sunburn and skin rash are also attributed to the effects of chlorine and sun exposure. Sunburn is well known to increase the risk of skin cancer as well as wrinkles. Make a practice of routinely using a quality sunscreen and use TRISWIM lotion and conditioner as they help reverse these effects with Organic Aloe, vitamins and other essential nutrients your skin craves after exposure to chlorine or harsh UV radiation.
