How do chlorine, copper and sun cause these adverse affects? : :
The longer or more frequently you swim, the more damage from negative effects of chlorine and from overexposure to the sun. Chlorine is a bleach and it will cause hair pigment to lighten. Color-treated hair may fade, and darker hair may become less shiny.
Your hair and skin become oxidized by these elements. Not only does it affect the texture and color of the hair, but it can also weaken hair at the follicle.
The air and sun (also oxidizers) compound this oxidizing effect causing hair to become dry, brittle and skin to become dry, wrinkled. Skin cancer is the most common kind of cancer. Melanoma is the most common cancer in women ages 20-29, and the #1 cause of cancer deaths in women ages 25-30. But Melanoma is 95-100% curable if caught early and treated quickly. Your chances of developing a sunburn are greatest between 10am and 4pm, when the sun's rays are strongest.
Q: So, what can TRISWIM do to protect my hair and skin from damage
caused by swimming in chlorinated pools and over exposure to the
sun's UV rays?
Damaged hair can be partially repaired by conditioning while you swim. Before beginning a workout, apply TRISWIM protective conditioner to your hair and cover it with a latex or silicone bathing cap. Heat generated during water exercise or swimming will provide a heat-conditioning treatment. Wearing TRISWIM conditioner while swimming will also prevent chlorine from being absorbed into, and damaging your hair, in the first place.

Don't allow chlorine to dry on your hair. Immediately wash your hair when you're finished swimming using TRISWIM products to dissolve and remove the chlorine chemicals, which will replacethe proteins eroded by chlorine exposure and replinish dry, itching skin. Don't brush your hair when it's wet. Let it dry naturally, then brush only with a wide-toothed comb to lessen the chance of breakage. |

TRISWIM Works! In fact, it's recommended by dermatologists like DermaDoctor. Read an excerpt from their recent report below : :
Brittle Hair & Split Ends: Chlorine has long been associated with green hair plus split ends and other problems due to pH. Many swimmers swear by rinsing hair in fresh water before entering the pool to reduce the rate of absorption while others simply focus on removing chlorine as soon as possible. TRISWIM Shampoo and TRISWIM Conditioner is specifically designed to remove chlorine and chlorine odor from hair while moisturizing and enriching. There is no need to settle for brittle hair and split ends when you can have luxurious locks all summer long thanks to TRISWIM shampoo and conditioner. If your hair is like hay tame it with the help of TRISWIM. Tested by actual swimmers, softer hair and luxurious locks can be a reality despite daily swimming!
Dry Skin: Undoubtedly, dry, dull skin is one of the most frequent complaints cited by women each and every summer. To add insult to injury, flaking and that dreaded chalky appearance absolutely ruin even the best bikini look. The first step to dealing with dry skin is to understand the source - chlorine. Yes, good old-fashioned chlorine. It's such a common ingredient in everything from drinking water to disinfectants that we tend to forget it is actually a harsh chemical. Chlorinated pool water actually strips away the surface layer of skin oil which locks in moisture; without that protective lipid layer, skin is fully exposed to the harmful effects of sun, chemicals and other environmental insults. Combat the effects of chlorine and other chemicals by using a gentle yet effective product like TRISWIM Lotion; its specially formulated to hydrate and moisturize skin while neutralizing chlorine.
Skin Rash: Once again, chlorine is the culprit. The skin is the largest organ of the entire body and although most Americans drink chlorinated water, the concentration is substantially less than that of a chlorinated pool. Combined with a large area of exposed skin and high levels of absorption, chlorine can irritate skin resulting in a red, itchy rash. To reduce the risk of skin rash related to chlorine exposure, rinse skin thoroughly after leaving the pool and use TRISWIM Body Wash. It removes chlorine residue and that unpleasant odor while gently moisturizing skin for a clean, fresh feel from head to toe.
Regular use of TRISWIM will leave your skin moisturized and smooth,
and your hair, clean, shiny, healthy and soft.
